petschool.ai is an independent guide site about dog training. We explain, step by step, how to teach everyday skills and how to change common problem behaviors – using reward-based methods only.

How we work

Every guide is written by our editorial team and follows the same rules:

  • Reward-based only. We recommend positive reinforcement, management, desensitization and counter-conditioning. We do not recommend choke, prong or shock collars, leash corrections or dominance-based techniques.
  • Sources over opinion. Recommendations are checked against published research on canine learning and welfare and against the position statements of veterinary behavior organisations such as the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior.
  • No invented experts or success stories. We do not publish made-up testimonials, statistics or credentials.
  • Honest limits. A guide cannot assess your individual dog. For aggression, severe fear, separation-related distress or sudden behavior changes we refer you to a veterinarian or a qualified behavior professional.
  • Dated and updated. Each guide shows when it was last revised. If you find an error, write to us and we will check and correct it.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to support research and drafting. Every guide is edited and checked against the principles above before publication. The site started in 2023 as an experimental chatbot for training questions; that chatbot has been discontinued, and petschool.ai is now a purely editorial guide site.
